The UPM Master in Wireless Communications (UPM-MWC) has recently gained the positive evaluation from Madrid’s accreditation board to be included as a new official master in the UPM’s catalogue of university degrees. This new degree will reinforce the offer of graduate studies on ICT technologies at UPM and will give an amazing opportunity to those students who wish to orient their professional career towards this promising area.
Wireless Communications currently represents a main driver for innovation, social progress, and economic growth, with astonishing figures of users, investment and revenues. Just to mention some key figures of the wireless industry, it is worth to recall the number of mobile cellular subscriptions in the world, which are over 8,000 millions, the total annual bluetooth device shipments in the world, which are now over 4,500 millions, or the number of total WAN connected devices worldwide, that has already overpassed the threshold of 25,000 millions.
The UPM Master in Wireless Communications (UPM-MWC) represents and exciting opportunity to acquire cutting-edge knowledge on systems and services for wireless communications. After graduation, students will be able to design and implement modern long-range and short-range wireless communication systems for public land mobile communication networks, wireless sensor networks, wireless local area networks, wireless personal area networks, or wireless communication networks for intelligent transportation systems.
