Last April 17, Saturday morning, an open house event for future students took place in the School of Telecommunication Systems Engineering at UPM South Campus premises.
GRC-UPM was participating in this annual event by showing the facilities of our teaching labs to a number of high school students and their close relatives visiting our facilities.
Senior bachelor students of GRC-UPM showed the prototype of a PLL oscillator made by themselves, explaining the full process: from design to test, going through the PCB fabrication and mounting too.
A Software Defined Radio (SDR) demonstration was also done to show what the radio spectrum is, to understand about its scarcity, and to remark the importance of a global frequency coordination.
